OHMYGOODNESS - there are REAL artists on other websites who do beautiful swirls. I w/post a link to my photo albums in Yahoo. I never draw out a design, I just take my little pointy pallet knife and start spreading whatever adhesive I'm using at the time into a curvey swirl. I plunk down something then start going in a curve around it w/my tiles, and wherever it leads to a fork, I plunk a piece of jewelry or whatever into that fork, then start more curves around that piece. It's all a make-it-up-as-I go work for me. Thanks for asking. Here's a link.

Aren't you darlin'! I live in Texarkana, and I'm totally self-taught. Spent many hours every day searching the net for info and ideas and inspiration before starting two yrs. ago. Mosaicing has totally taken over my life and gobbled up every other hobby I had before, like decorating, painting, quilting, sewing, fabric art, cooking, reading, gardening, antiquing, whatever. This obsession has gotten waaaaaaay out of control. What a way to live, though. I live, breath, dream and DO mosaics.

I had to stop working cuz I got to thinking about what I told you about drawing out designs. I TAKE IT BACK!!!!! On my d.r. serving bar, I used a stencil for the top and in order to get the diamonds sorta even, I used a ruler and marked off the designs, but NORMALLY, I don't draw my designs. On the project I'm working on now, I took a pencil and flippantly showed my HM how I planned to do vine work, but just to show him how high to put the backerboard. Never would follow anything I draw anyway, but just wanted to correct my statement cuz I did on that one project. BTW, for those of you who have problems w/designs, stencils are another source. 'Course, I even changed that, and didn't follow it exactly.
