Oh Slow, I'm dying to try Rianna's method for some mushrooms. I was thinking maybe I would use this weather to make gads and gads of them and put them up for winter tbm projects...

Was thinking that I could probably sell them at a friend's nursery if I can get a bunch made... we'll see.

wow, that is some beautiful garden.
I envy anyone who puts plants INTO the ground.
I just can't bring myself to do that.
I'm a 'pothead', when it comes to gardening.
I can't get past them being in pots, so I can move them around, or keep them catagorized in clumps.
it comes from me thinking that someday I will move and take the best plants with me.
never mind that I've been in this place for 26 years!

I have moved a time or two..one time I flew the coop...it wasn't a case of 'empty nest' for me..
I'd had enough and left the kids here..they were grown to highschool age and I just upped and moved to an apartment.
I took the favorite maple tree with me.
hauled that thing up 3 flights of stairs, so it would be in the window..
(now I realize that seems a bit off kilter, but you have to know me, to understand my thinking)
and not everyone is tolerant of that...mostly my family.
after time, I moved back home again and have been dealing with grandkids, in place of my own kids.
you'd think I'd learn.

anyway, I admire anyone who has a talent for the art of composition in a yard..and you sure do have that!

Annie - my echinacaea is actualy thriving amidst the flooding rains we keep getting this year, so sprinkler probably not a problem...I'm the same way with larkspur. Won't grow for me on a bet!
