O.k. Here's a pic of my pond. I do want to mosaic a few small lime green lizards on some of the surrounding stones.(one of these days!) We moved here in March and I haven't stopped working on the yard since! I've also put in a stone patio next to the pond and now I'm in the process of planting flower beds. Hopefully this weekend we will be putting in sod. My hubby invited 20 people over for a bbq June 30, so I'm working like mad to get it done before then.

Oh Oh Oh!! I can't talk...I LOVE it!!! I have two spots I want to put ponds, but have so much work to do before the fun stuff like that! Thanks for the nice comments. Yes, I did it ALL by myself. Quite proud of it too. I live in North Carolina. We moved here from Tyler, Texas in March. I didn't know Slow then. Lucky her. I would've been over there ALL the time LOL!!

Wow, Bama', I LOVE the pond also! So much I just set it as the background on my computer! (I hope you don't mind. And you bumped the mosaiced toilet tank that...oh, dang, I can never remember if WENCH or NICETHYME did it...that I had had there for several weeks, after I had SLOW's tile for awhile ;) I really want to build a pond someday also, yours may inspire me to get started! I really wish I could have a pond here but can't because of the ages of grandkids..it's way too dangerous

thanks to freecycle, in my area, it looks like I'll be inheriting a boat
it's been gutted of seats and all and the guy says the hull is watertight..
hmmmmmm
that could mean two things.
keep the water out, or keep the water IN.
so, I may come up with some way of having a water feature, with the boat. I'm thinking in terms of growing strawberries in it, with a 'watering can' as the feature, with the water coming from the can and recycled back into the boat..
whatcha all think?

gonna talk to the guy tomorrow about getting it from there to here.
and just so happens that my oldest son does boat repair and has his own part time business, doing just that!
he already has two boats in his yard and surely doesn't want or need another one, so I can have it, guilt free.
and otherwise free...lol
