NICETHYME cut some wonderful heart shapes from a plate and TOOMUCHGLASS made them into charms for wonderful charm bracelets. I searched for the thread but couldn't find it. There w/probable be a response from one of them today. Hang on.

yes the main thing is haveing them foiled, soldered and plated, but I have contemplated the idea that PMC could also be used if you have access to a kiln...

So really TMG is the one to tell you how to since her part was the technical, all I did was cut and assemble.

You forgot the thread, cutie pie. I'd say that your part in making those bracelets was equal to TMG's, NT. There was practically nothing left of that plate when you finished cutting those wonderful heart shapes but DUST. I've NEVER seen a plate utilized as you did that one. Your precision cutting is amazing, young lady.

if one googles for porcelain jewelry, it should load bunches..
when I first started into the porcelain/china painting, I was checking out everything I could find and printed many pages of examples of pieces of really nice jewelry.
I typed in either vintage, or broken or any combination and found more than I could ever keep up with.
nearly cleared out the color cartridge in my daughter's computer!

I think there may also be a seller or two on etsy.
I even gave some thought to selling some of what I have already cut up and have in jars and vases but who knows if I"ll ever get to all the projects that are lined up to be finished.

yesterday I got sideswiped from my studio set up, to help youngest daughter move from her roomates, over to her sister's place..
today, I have one sick grandson, with 103 temp..that's another day of sorta-so-so work on the studio

at least I have enough crates for the work now..starting with 26 and will add to it all, as they are taken from storage to set up here..I'm excited for this transformation..

ohhhhhh, mom just brought the kid ..gotta go!
I'll be administering 7-up and chicken noodle soup today.

What a terrific forum this is, it's just like visiting with a bunch of friends and talking about some nice, light-hearted things-- it takes a person's mind off all the awful stuff going on in the world, even if only for a little while.

I have to show you some of my broken China jewelry .... I just nipped it as close as I could to the shape I wanted - then used the grinder. Foiling was a real trick because of the varying thicknesses and the pourous edges. It can be done though !!!

now that's exactly what I was talking about..finding it on the web and on etsy..
I love that look and have the dishes to do such a creature!
for now though, I'm into the painting on the porcelain brooches and little tiles.
grandson was a trooper and is so much better today..he went home, after spending the night with me.
he's 6 and I just adore that little guy.

toomuchglass, your broken china jewellery is absolutely breath-taking!! I especially like that last oval-shaped one. Even prettier than the ones I've seen on sites where they sell them. Keep up the good work!
