I've looked at several glass websites and I can't find that certain texture either!
Is there a certain texture you're looking for? There are many available.

Thanks for that link BAMA! Now I know what glue chip IS! It is exactly what van gogh is made from and what I'm on the hunt for today.

I believe the glass you are referring to was popular in the 70's to use as window material around front doors and such, I have a small stash as I just used some on my mirror project, I would suggest looking in salvage from old buildings supply stores...if this is the glass you mean.

BAMA: Thank YOU for that link also! I had asked you in another thread (which one??) what glue chip was, and now I know. What's funny is, I have a BUNCH of scraps of this, just didn't know what it was called. I described it as "ferny". Now I know! Maybe I'll have to try that Van Gogh technique sooner rather than later...

Maybe start phoning glass shops and or stained glass shops, there was a gall who was posting here that is a teacher of and artist of stained glass for many years and she lives in NY area, I'll go thru the old posts and see if I can find her....

I think Jane's idea of a salvage place or recycle store that specializes in building materials is a good idea.

We have a recycle-re-use store here, plus a habitat reuse store. A few "antique" building places, but they're probably really high. Anyway, someplace like that might have it

I have that glass..I got some that is the same pattern but clear colored from a gallery called mandarin glass..they had quite a bit. I don't know if it is reproduction or what!! They are in Washington State..you could call them to see where the get theirs it wasn't expensive either. 253-582-3355

called tapestry glass huh??? I spent about an hour trying to find it on line but couldnt..I even checked the delphi web site..obviously I didn't check all of it!!!!
With all the faux van gough going on why couldnt somone paint the clear tapestry glass? Well I'm glad the mystery is solved!!!!!!

I have some of those star candle holders made from it, luv em! The blue and rose colors are truly mouth watering yummy!!hee hee!!!

Now that I know what to look for, I found another source for the clear glass. Huge sheets available from Hollander Glass, called Mysticvue. See link.

Thanks for those additional links. The glue chip glass from Delphi is well priced--It was $3.99 at HobLob. Will wait to order the tapestry glass cause SLOW and I are headed to Longview on Tuesday to check out some glass shops we've heard about. CALAM: How large is the pattern? If you cut it, won't it destroy the beauty of the pattern? SLOW: check out NT's link and look for the "clear reed" glass. Do you think it's the same glass Shea gave you and which you just gold leafed?
