a turntable for my patio set

After going to the Hacienda mosaico, I had wanted to mosaic my patio table. Just seemed to be to big a project for now though. I instead mosaiced the turntable in the middle. I grouted it with a black which faded. I've given the outside part with the light glass a wash of black paint and will seal tonite. I printed the celtic knot design off a website and enlarged it, I really do like celtic knots,

I like celtic knots too. This turned out great!

Suggestion: consider sealing with resin to give you a smooth and better protection for outdoor.

Very nice project Cindy, did you use mirror tiles to make the celtic knot?

I bet it really dresses up your table!

Loving those colors Cindy! Mirror glass, I think. Good first step on the table..I know what you mean about taking on large projects. DH and I are working on landscaping the backyard. It was a wasteland when we bought the house and slowly we are making it special. I would really like to do a Rianna bench or scalloped table or stools. AFTER the shed is painted, maybe I will tackle one of those. So little time, so little money!

Looks even better in person! She did it while she was camping! I went camping once with her and we tried to make seaweed flowers with stuff we beachcombed, it was a very smelly experiment but was a lot of fun!!!

Glad you all like my turntable. I've never tried the resin before. I thought it might be expensive, so haven't ever tried it yet. Have any of you had good success with it? I'm off camping again this weekend so am trying to think of a portable project I can take along. The celtic knot is just black glass. No mirror tiles on this project. Rosie, I too am just dying to make a project using that method. I have had such a busy summer, can't beleive it is August soon, jeepers.

I love the way that turned out! Such a nice addition to the table. I'd love to do a table too, but I'm also intimidated by the size.

Oh, KLINGER: That is just wonderful. You did a fabulous job on that. Don't know why y'all hesitate on a large project. Working on a flat surface is sooooooo much easier than anything else to mosaic. Make it easier by using larger pieces of tesserae. W/LOVE to see your whole table done.
