Finished my little tray! Last project before vacation!!

I didn't know what to do with the little circle between the handmade and flower tessere. I didn't want to darken it with black, tried white, didn't like it. Then I remembered this candle holder I bought at the TS for .80. It was obvously homemade - enough solder on it to choke a horse. I figured the glass was worth the price. That ended up being the right color ( didn't have any more of the center pink or I'd have used that) Tape didn't work too good ( no patience to do all the curves with it), but used the craft brush and toothbrush to clean it!!

About 7 1/2 inches. Just up enough to use up some stuff!

Well whatever your problems, impatience, scraps - whatever, it looks like it was all planed. You couldn't have done better if you'd had a world of stuff to work with. REALLY love those handmade tiles. Your color combos are excellent. Have a great vacation, get lots of ideas and get back w/a longer list. BTW - what colors did you use for your handmade tiles? Looks like a berry w/pinks - golds???

LOL, Slow, "bingo marker pink" Really, A bingo marker I found at the store for 1.50. I can post the pic tomorrow, can't get to it here at work! I dabbed it on then hit it with the rustoleum metallic gold spray paint and a quick hit with black. It was a 3x3 piece of plain glass I had laying around.

That's why this was such a perfect project. Only had the one saucer in the pretty flower pattern, and a few of the pink center tiles!!

When you first posted the Bingo Marker, I started to ask about those. Never heard of them. What kind of paint is a Bingo Marker? Boyohboy what a pretty combo. Gotta get some of those. From what kind of store???

Slow. They use them to mark Bingo cards, instead of the little round chips they used to use. Can't sit still for the game myself, but my mother used to go. I guess they're called bingo daubers. Come in fancy colors now.They have a little sponge on top. I think they may be considered ink, but it held up just fine. I just liked the colors

I got them at Meijers. A Michigan based version of Super Walmart. I'm sure Walmart has them, found them sort of by the toys/games section

Maria I love your little tray. Colors turned out perfect. Looks like VanFo to me.:^))) Have to give that a try.
