I knew I got a piece of textured glass in some pack I ordered. I didn't realize it was bamboo with leaves.

I only have spray paint around right now (in the colors I wanted). I took a cheap craft brush (like 5/$1) and sprayed some greeen on it then brushed it over the leaves. Then I sprayed some copper on a brush and did the same to the bamboo. Sprayed the back with gold colored metallic and then hit it with black. I REALLY like the way it came out!! Have NO IDEA what I'm going to do ith it

So, do I need to spray something on the back to seal it??

This is a plain square of glass. Not that impressed, but I'll find a use for it. Sprayed it lightly with lavender, then copper then black. I like the way the gold on the other one shows up better. I guess the bug wanted to get in the picture too!! LOL

I LOVE the bamboo glass.
I don't know if you need to seal the back. I guess it wouldn't hurt though.

OH Maria, WOW That bamboo piece is just beautiful. I would be so torn on what to do with it. Do you nip it up and glue it down as mosaic or do you glue it down as one piece or on a GOG OR OR OR???? This is such a new twist on doing mosaics. I will never look at my clear patterned glass the same.

Funny because I am just getting ready to glue the clear glass on the purple dresser I painted months ago. Sigh and I was worried on having to wait for the paint to dry/cure. No worry there I never got time to get back to it anyway. Sigh

We will be having record breaking high temps for the next week so I plan on working on some mosaics.:^))) And cemetery books :^((((

Oh what a beautiful piece of glass, SHRTY. I suppose you'll use that as the center piece or focal point in a project. How could one cut it - too pretty. Like the painting technique.

I don't think I want to cut the "bamboo" piece. It was clear glass. The other was just a piece from an old frame.

oooooh, I love that Bamboo glass - the way you painted it looks awesome. Yes, a centerpiece on something. Maybe just trim the corners into a scroll design with your saw!

Maria I think it was your bamboo glass that gave me the idea to do grasses or ferns or whatever they are on my dresser. I kept seeing the leaf shapes from your picture in almost every piece of glass I picked up so I went with it. I would have had a hard time cutting that beautiful piece of glass too. Will make a great focal tile.

I've seen that bamboo glass beside and above a front door here in town, now I feel like knocking on their door and telling them to paint it!!! lol! Love the copper!
