Like others I had no idea where glue chip glass was, so I went to my friend, google, to find out.

This is a tutorial or making your own. I also googled and found several places that sell the glue (most frequently referred to as animal hide glue). It seemed expensive, though it is probably cheaper to make your own versus buying the glass.

I thought this tutorial was fairly involved and not something I would try right away. I was thinking it would be similar to etching, but seems to be more involved than that, though I wonder how trying to paint over an etching would do.

I have some scraps of glue chip and dozens of bottles of paint and looking forward to giving it a try.
