That turned out amazing! The green reminds of of pool table felt, and the diamonds on the outside remind me of the diamonds around the pool table. Very well executed design. Fantastic job!

Yes, I am using the morton system. I had to modify it a little to suit me. For scoring multiple lines, the instructions said to tape the ruler to it. Well, that thing kept getting in the way, so I ended up drawing the measurements on the bottom t-bar piece itself. It still takes me a while to figure out the diamond and triangles set up, but all in all it is faster than my ol ruler method.
I didn't have a pattern to go by. I just did an image search for "billiards" on Google and got ideas from looking at all the pictures. I did use green because the felt on their table is that color, also the border is to mimic the design on her table. I wanted to do "pockets" in the corners, but I just couldn't get them to look right.
I got the idea for how to do the background from one of my mosaic books. I think doing the "halo" effect helped the ball to really stand out.
I did goof up though..after I had glued all the pieces for the pool ball down, I noticed I was working on the backside of the stone, not the side with the beveled edge! I really felt like a dufus when I saw that! Oh well.
