Luminette cost?

I have a french door slider in my dining room that I need to cover for privacy. I love the look of the door and really want to avoid something like curtains that would hide the beauty of the door. After much research the Luminette by Hunter Douglas seems to be the most attractive option. My question is how much is it going to cost me? I keep reading comments that refer to the fact that they are expensive. Can anyone be more specific than that? Thanks!

I am based in Canada so I can tell you in CAD, for a room that is 13.5 feet wide and 9 foot ceiling, Luminette is close to 4000 CAD

I have two three door patio sliders that are covered by hunter Douglas luminettes. I love them. I have four more window in my family room that I haven't ordered window treatments. I paid $3,500 for one patio door. I have been quoted $4,200 for the 4 regular size windows remaining. I have no idea if this is a fair price. This is hard for me since I am a senior. Any advice?

    Provi,

just to clarify, you paid $4200 for the hunter Douglas blind on your patio door? Without know what you ordered and the size of the door, it is difficult to say if it was a fair price.

I paid 3,500 for the 3 door patio slider. I have 4 windows remaining in the room. I received a price quote of 4,200 to have these 4 windows treated with the same luminettes. I can't wrap my brain around how expensive these window treatments are. I have having difficulty making the decision to spend an additional 4,200 for one room. Since I already have this product on the sliders.. I feel it would be better to have the same look. I am having a hard time saying yes to the window company. Thanks

How wide are the door panels? Have you looked into other brands like Bali or Levolor who now make some of the same styles as Hunter Douglas?

They are wanting to charge me $24,000 for the living room open to a tiny dinning room.

Your Luminette is very pretty! Do they split in the middle or to one side? If to one side, is the stacking even? Can you tell me your fabric choice, please?

Sorry I saw this ? Late it doesn’t split in the middle but the o e I have in the living room yes because is longer.

hello. Can someone update us on the quality of these vertical sheers after few months/years of use? Any pics would be appreciate it.

I am interested in these too! I am wondering how these blinds can be cleaned after used for years.

I just got a quote fir my 12 ft patio window. $4300. Wow! I really love them but way out of my budget for one window.

Getting mine at Lowe's fir $1700. Not exactly the same but close enough fir the price.

Which ones at Lowes are similar to the Hunter Douglas Luminette where there is a sheer fabric between the vertical blinds? Or is there anywhere else that has something similar?

I just had Hunter Douglas Luminettes installed on my patio slider and living room windows. Total cost $6,300.

I just had the HD guy here yesterday because I have about 8 window treatments that I originally ordered through Lowes. They have a lesser model HD that will only last you about 5-6 years with moderate wear. Anyway, the HD guy said that Luminettes for my bedroom picture window going from ceiling to floor (8 feet tall) would be about 4800. These have a wide "stack", so mine would extend out beyond the side of the window. I believe it's a 17" stack, which is pretty considerable -- more like a heavy drape. -- Oh, and BTW, yes Lowes says theyre warranteed for life, and I had them sent back to the manufacturer TWICE, and they broke TWICE. It takes about 16 weeks after the Lowes person actually can come out to your house to collect the blind.

Do these Laminates create a blackout effect when closed if using a transparent fabric?

No they don’t. Just had them installed in our bedroom and room is not dark at all. I’m concerned how it’s going to be in the summer. Really regretting my expensive choice!!

I have Hunter Douglas Luminettes on two sliding glass doors. i have taken them down due to kitchen construction. Hunter Douglas gave me the name of a local compsny that cleans. Two Luminettes that are 7 foot wide each with 36 ”veins” will cost $625 to clean.
