I like the banana! I take it you're not planning on grouting since you painted in the orange and yellow under your fruit.

Well yeah, I WAS planning on grouting. I painted the colors under it to hopefully give the glass globs more color coming thru. I think the other parts of it really need the grout. Whaddya think about grouting? And what do you think about using the amber tiles in a square pattern? They aren't glued yet. If/when I do grout I have no idea the color. I downloaded the grout color finder from some site you guys showed me. Will have to consult it, I guess. Would love every one's opinion.

I like the banana, vine and everything else. If you want the background to look like a tablecloth and your fruit sitting on a table, you need to make the tablecloth straight across the "horizon" - you know a straigt line, then the upper part some other color for the "sky" or "wall". Perhaps a checked tablecloth is too much - cuz there's the perspective issue in the checks. Perhaps you don't even NEED a tablecloth, but a plain color might be easier???? Remember Hazie's fry pan - a wine bottle and glass, but no other real details. Then move your fruit around so it "sits" on the tablecloth. Try to find some kind of still life painting so you see what I mean. You can DO this. Hope this is clear.

Ditto to what Slow said because I was going to say all the same things about the tablecloth or use a single color filler for your background. From what I can see I would try a lighter background color so the fruit dominates. I love the vine accent! That really looks good.
