Oh how B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. I LOVE that, especially the three leaf effect on each side of the center tile. What a fabulous job of mosaicing. Love the colors, but the design is wonderful.

My DD and I are going to try our hand at stepping stones this weekend if it isn't too hot outside. We bought six 12" stones from Home Depot.

Thank you for the compliments! This was a fun project because the center tile cost a dollar and something at Lowes (I bought like four in case I messed up) but I already had the stepping stone, adhesive (from tiling an outdoor patio), glass, and blue tile from last summer when I tiled my dad's shower stall. So it was really like, "Oh hey. I could use this...and this...and this." Ta da! There it is. Sometimes I get frustrated when I keep having to go back to Hobby Lobby b/c I forget stuff or changed my mind. It was really a relaxing, fun project.
By the way...how do you like my foot in the second pic? I actually have on pink toe nail polish.

Thanks thyme! As I walking in Lowes, I saw it out of the corner of my eye. I stopped dead in my tracks; had to have it! The project came together from there.

Oh, yes, I did notice your nail polish. I, too, have to have those toenails polished. REALLY like this design and color combo. Re the ease on this project, some projects are just meant to be, and go together so easily. Been there, done that. Then some of them are WORK from start to finish - like my Bro's pedestal. Wasn't fun.

Love the colors, your stone is beautiful! I just can't seem to find nice colorful tiles like that, the places I go to just have boring tiles.

Love the stepping stone! Now I am motivated to finish some that I bought, but I've been inside hiding from the heat! My daughter showed her friend some stepping stones that I made her, and a bowl, and two trivets, and she said "wow, your mom has too much time on her hands..." I found some beautiful tiles at the dollar store. Don't know about the quality, but am anxious to try them! Hope you get the "award"! That should do it! Jennie

DIAMOND: That comment - "too much time on her hands"!!!!!!!!!!!! Doncha just want to snatch those people bald who have no imagination?! It's more like "not ENOUGH time" in our cases to mosaic, mosaic, mosaic.

I wish I had some time on my hands. It's not that I don't have the same amount of time as everyone else, it just takes me longer to git er done. Waaaaaaaaaah

BTW, love the stone. I see some pretty neat tiles in trivets at the thrift sometimes that would make a nice focal.

So does anyone know where else I can get tiles like that? I JUST happen to run across these. The store I got them at doesn't usually carry these. I love them!!
