Stained Glass & Mosaics

grout on silver??

Today I saw a picture of a silver teapot whick was mosaiced. I have a teapot like this that I'd like to mosaic but unsure if the grout will stick to a metal surface like this. Have any of you had the occasion to try something like this and, if so, what did you have to do before you began? I'm just itching to get started! Help me out, ladies. Cheers, Vee

There have been lots of gals here that have done teapots...Try doing a forum search, but I dont think they did anything speacial. I could be wrong, but someone will pipe up.

I mosaiced a silver teapot and the only prep I did was to rough it up a little with some sandpaper. I used a silicone to glue the china pieces to it and white grout. Let us see your piece when you finish!

I've successfully mosaiced several metal coffee/tea pots, using GE II for glue. Didn't do any kind of prep work. Pictures, please.
