It's called MAC adhesive. Here's some info on it,
however I don't know where to buy it...yet.

Ok, I just ordered a couple bottles of the stuff.
I didn't like the way the back of my GOG looked with the silicone. So I'll do a sample of the Mac & the Weldbond
and get back with the results.

how's your moth coming?

I have a bottle of it - it isn't cheap! I haven't done anything with it yet.

The only caveat I've read about it is that if it's humid when used it might bubble - that's a BIG might.

I wonder if it would hold totems together ? hhhmmmm... I might have to order a bottle now .

Still playing with the background ideas. I had a really fun trip to Delphi glass though.
Meant to bring the camera and post some pix of the
place as the glass room is truly something to behold.
Alas, I forgot it. But I did end up lightening their
load by about 12 sheets of glass.
Only 2 were for the moth...waiting for the epiphany
to pick the rest. I'm also doing glass in the
insets of our TV armoire so a lot of it will end
up there. I'll post pix on that one soon...that is
once the kiddo's are back at school and the circus
of house guests subsides.

The Mac Glue came today, so the experiment should
commence tomorrow...after I drop by the dollar store
for a cheap piece of clear glass.

I haven't grouted over it yet, but it seems easy to use (making some coasters as a test). It has dried clear; as clear as weldbond. It dries faster than weldbond and silicone. It doesn't have any fumes to speak of.

It's NOT as easy to scrape off messi-ness like silicone or weldbond. So if you want something really FLAT you have to be careful to remove extra glue while wet.

It is water based so I don't think I'd use it outdoors.
