There are a lot of books out there, but since I've joined this group, I haven't found the need for anything more. Lots of websites,too. If you start reading back posts there is a TON of info here.

Making it up as we go along is what we're about here! We love newbies, pictures, we answer questions and we'll love whatever you make! No better group on the web!!

You'll probably be hearing from me quite alot - I was reading the forum for a while and you all seemed so friendly that I decided I'd risk posting my VERY basic questions here:)

Haziemoon, HazieMazie is what my stepson calls me - I've only ever met one other Hazel in my entire life (40+ years) so I was amazed how hard it was to find a free user name on this forum.

Anyway, I'm sure I'll have loads of questions very soon - my MIL is giving me a small round glass patio table to experiment on :)

I'm glad you decided to join in ! We've all asked our share of what we thought were stupid questions - turns out none of them are really stupid .

I googled Mosaic magazines and found several that are called Mosaic, but alas they are college newsletters or literary magazines.

I know SAMA (Society of American Mosaic Artists) puts out a magazine occasionally, but you must be a member to receive it.

Google Mosaics, look through old threads for favorite mosaic sites, and just surf around for plenty of inspiration and encouragment.

I hope my user name will not cause confusion being too close to Haziemoon - I hadn't realized that it was that close. As Haziemoon has seniority I can change mine easily:) Let me know before we all get used to it.

Hi HAZIE II, and Welcome! I too confused you with Haziemoon at first. I saw the name (sort of), and first line said "I'm new here", so I looked at the date it was posted, and was just more confused! Then I saw Janie welcomed you first, like you really were new, so I was even MORE confused! THEN I saw HAZIE I's post, and it all came together for me :) I'm kinda slow sometimes! Welcome, anyway!

Welcome Hmazie...I agree with ronnie..I didn't read the whole name (I guess I only read what I wanted to read) then looked at the post and the date and was momentarily confused. I'm sure we will get used to it.

I have done MANY searches and never found a mosaic magazine...but like everyone has said, now that you found us you will not need a magazine!!!!

I am a book nut and have tons of great mosaic books if you need any ideas for great books I'd be more than willing to throw out some titles at ya!!!

Ohhhh, I'm late with a welcome - I was on Vacation... sorry! WELCOME Hazel... wow a GOG table to play with - I envy you! I'd love to have one to do... good for you. There are some fabulous examples here - I remember 2 tables by st johns gypsy that were stunning. Welcome to the art and this group!
