I finally found some agate. $6 a piece. I decided that I would have to have a specific project in mind and not just buy to have on hand. I love these and i vote for no grout. BUT, things always turnout looking different in pictures. You're obviously the best judge!

These are downright awesome. I don't know how you turn thing out so fast lately, girlie. You're really on a roll. These are soooooooo colorful. Think the woodsy one is my fav, - hard to pic, though. Those jewel tones are yummy. BEAUTIFUL.

Thanks! I found fused glass that has the trees at a thrift store and always thought I'd add some beads and be done with it. But then I thought of using iy on this scrap glass and TaDa! When I go thrift storing or garage sailing, I try to keep a look out for agates and such cuz they can be pricey, I've paid 3 and 4 dolars for some of these. I have them hanging by 15lb fishing line, not the best but if I find some nice wire I'll switch. Hindsight, I'd be more careful with the silicone showing up. Well, I'm done all my projects, it's wierd, not having a bunch on the go. I actually went outside and did some yard work, boy, when you sit in an aircondioned house all day you get climatized! I've about melted from the heat!!!

Good grief! I just didn't realize how the grout would set them off! They are wonderful!!!
When I started looking at... and thinking about making mosaic type projects several months ago.. I just didn't realize the huge variety! This kind of GOG is another spectacular example!

Thanks for the information on the tree center. What a GREAT find. In all my TS shopping I have found one agate. It is HUGE so I use it for a coaster on our coffee table. There is also a little flaw in it. Was dropped or?? Do they dye the agates to get the bright colors or? I wonder if they would fade over time in the sun?
