the fall would have been terrible enough but to have to lay there with the pain, for an extended length of time, is more than I could even tolerate.

I can't even IMAGINE the pain or the fright of wondering just long LONG you'd have to lie there waiting. Oh, there could be a whole lot of what IFs involved. Bless your heart, Janey Bo. I do hope you'll recover soon, cuz I'm sure you're bursting w/inspiration and the wait to mosaic again w/be almost as painful as that in your ankle. Soooooo sorry to hear of your mishap.

AWE that's soooo aweful. Poor Jane for having to sit out there all that time. Buck up kiddo, forget the outdoor work and look at the blessing of being stuck working on mosaics! Get better quickly!

Janie, get well quick! Just make sure somebody sets you up so you can mosaic while you sit there! And when you mosaic that cast, but sure to leave a track open for the saw to go through later on! :D

Actually, I think that would be kinda cool, to actually mosaic your cast and put it in your yard later on...kind of a "tread carefully here" kind of statement...Ok, maybe not!

Well, that stinks!! So sorry you're hurt! You can always work on that peacock, though, right???? lol

Definately wait until the cast is removed before you mosaic. Can't imagine how heavy that would feel with grout and stuff!

Jane... I'm so sorry to hear of your fall. :( And know that it must have been awful waiting.
BUT.... glad to hear that you're getting care. Take advantage of it! :) Rest, relax, and soon you'll feel like mosacking again. So glad that it wasn't a thumb, or any other hand part!

Janey, so sorry about your accident! If you were here, I'd bake you a cake, cut your glass, hand you the glue, and grout for you, but since we are on the opposite ends of the North America (me in Florida, you in Canada), I guess all I can do is send you Best Wishes for a Speedy Recovery.

Had another thot, Janie-Bo. Wait til you get that cast off, ask for the two halves (make sure the doc doesn't cut it up too much!) use the two halves to make a concrete form, THEN mosaic that baby! :D

Hey All! I'm so touched by all the Love sent my way!!! I'm soooo mad at myself!! I'm rarin' to go and had the brakes slamed on me! Thank God DH finally heard me!!! It took an ambulance crew and a special chair to get me outta there! It is VERY painful and am trying to elevate it to get the swelling to go down, tomorow the whole cast goes on. Cindy sent me a beautiful cup and saucer flower arrangement that guess what I first thought of when I saw it??!!! LOL! Dh is a nurse so I'm in good hands!!! It's aweful to be so gimped up!! I was called about playing with concrete molds yesterday by a neighbor and had to decline!!! Grrrr! Well, back to my bed now! Jane

Awwwwwwww, Janey - I'm so sorry. Take good care and you'll be back in action in no time. Hope your DH doesn't nag you like my RN DD does me - about EVERYTHING - be careful this, be careful that, nag, nag, nag. But if it'll get you well and back in business faster, do everything he tells you to do w/a smile.

I am so sorry to hear you're laid up!!! That is SUCH a frustrating feeling, I can't wait to hear about and see the WONDERFUL projects you can "cook up" while you're restricted......
