Y'all blow me away w/your words, and sometimes bring tears to my eyes. Thanks. Gonna try to grout this before I go further so it won't be such a daunting task in the end. CHICKEE - I use charcoal or grey grout for everything now. I mix the white or grey mortar w/black grout to get my color, and ensure more adhesion. It's very strong.

Slow it is breath-takingly beautiful!!!! Love the way you did the ground with all the "treasures".

Grouted most of what is done. Reflections are bad on iridescent glass. Using black grout mixed w/mortar makes it dry much faster, so I can't use the "dry" grout method on things w/this recipe, so it's a fight to get it cleaned before I have to use a chisel. Phew! Grout is still wet so it'll be a tad lighter when dried.

He's gorgeous, SLOW. And the ground IS fun to look at! Does your brother live close enough we could see him "in person" when we visit? The rooster that is, not your brother. Well, your brother also, but especially the rooster!

You can do the same thing, HRSG - there's no talent involved here. It's just a bunch of small pieces - some cut some nipped, and I followed the texture and lines on the concrete. LADY - not close enough - They live 30 miles south of Monroe, LA - takes me four hrs. to get there. It DOES look better in person - as does everything else we all do, I'm sure. Thank y'all a bunch.

Well, thank you very much, ZONE - I won't get to work on it until next Tuesday afternoon, so I'm in withdrawals already. It gets easier and you get faster the more you mosaic, so don't despair.

My last post was 11 days ago, and I DIDN'T get to work on Rooster until yesterday, when I squeezed a WHOLE DAY to glue the second side, and just finished grouting that half. Sooooo glad I had grouted the first side. Took two hrs. to grout the second half today. Oh, boy, am I sick of textured pieces, and am looking forward to some flat surfaces. This sucker was difficult. W/seal on Friday, and am getting ready to scrub up and begin the second pedestal, and hope to say goodbye to both pieces the beginning of the second week in Sept. when Bro/Mo can come visit and pick them up. PHEW!!

Y'all's comments just absolutely take my breath away. Quad, triple, double, huh, BAMA. Wooohooo and a Texas yeehaw! I see so many areas that I'm mentally re-working, but alas, he's DONE!!! Only five days work, but it seems it took forever. SEA: The back wall in my workshop started last year, and is still a WIP. Like I've said before, my attention span is very short. One side is done, but I grout w/little bits of left-over grout cuz I got sick of the whole thing. It has all different colors grout. The other side just has a few pieces adhered, and may never be completed - **sigh**. Thank y'all - each comment humbles me greatly.

Well I can't believe y'all again, especially SHRTY. I don't deserve that kind of compliments, but I sure like reading them. Thanks again, y'all. Was out of town junkin' w/a friend all day today. Brought home crutches, to replace the one my DD#1 got (I miss it). The dealer wouldn't split the pair, so I had to buy both, another coffee pot to begin another set to replace the one DD#1 got, (I miss it), and looked every place for an ironing board, but couldn't find a suitable one. Like I NEEDED more stuff, but y'all know the routine. Thank you, thank you and thank you all.
