Thank you all for the kind words. I have to give photo credit to my DH, I'm lucky he's got a lot of talent in that area. I had the idea to use the shells & things, seemed fitting since we're in FL. But he's the one with the eye for arranging & photographing it. For anyone who may want to try this, a few short months ago I had never done this either. I also have to give credit to Firechicktick, it was a post by her showing off her fused glass several months ago that got my brain churning in the first place! I have searched for a creative outlet for a long time, dabbled in all sorts of crafty endeavors. Pottery, stained glass, MOSAICS, etc. While I've enjoyed them all, none of them have grabbed hold of me like fusing glass has. So if you all don't mind too much I'll keep posting pictures & turn this into the Stained Glass, Mosaics AND Glass Fusing forum :o)

that's a gorgeous plate I wish I had a kiln I love doing pottery and would love to try fusing. Unfortunatly since DH has been laid off I am officially cut off from shopping for a while. Which leaves me in a pickle I have to projects going right now and no way to finish them. I need to make a base for my BB and find pink floral dishes for DD night stand. well I guess it'll have to wait til things pisck up. I honestly cant believe that in less than 2 yrs the construction market in Florida has gone from booming to bust. I am praying that his interview tommarrow goes well cause the 250 bux a week unemployment pays isnt going to do alot considering he is used to making a grand or better with overtime. well now that I have burdened you all with my woes I think I will go clean something that always seems to get my mind off of things.

Hang in there Shelly! I'm broke too as I just quit my job and am taking some time for me, it sucks not having spending money but I only shop at ts anyways so not to really worry. I could use grout and sealer tho, but am working to redesign my yard so that'll keep me busy.
On the topic of your awesome fused glass Gin Gin, You have me and Klinger discussing going 1/2ies on a kiln!!! I'm so glad you post your work, it is what this forum is about too!!! Eye Candy, any way ya look at it!! Jane
