Ha!! I must admit I saw it earlier today also. I was looking at Shea's tower again, trying to be inspired. I was surprised to see the new pedestal, and I LIKES IT!!
YES, designs within the color would be so "slow". You know what to do, and do it so well. Teach me, oh master of the towers.

Another slow masterpiece in process! I really like the up sweeping of the blues. Reminds me of tapestry.

I think I'm just going to have to invest in a few tiles of different colors..
I don't know if I'm ever going to get busy with all of my broken dishes..lol
the colors you use, are soooo much more interesting and bold.
there's no way to find that in just dishes.
I'm envious for sure and really need to get busy.
my studio is all the way functional now..it's all set up and I can begin to work in it..anytime!

Dang it SLOW! I get why you chose your nickname! You put me to shame a hundred ways with all you can get done. I would've stopped with the mosaicing and then hit the couch, not baking a cake in between! (Probably changed a few diapers and fed someone, maybe.) I found two of those flue tiles or whatever they are. Found one in my yard and one in my MILs yard. Plan to mosaic with a matching BB on each and one will have a fountain in the BB, and then there will be a.... oh geez, nevermind.

There y'all go again - making me LOL. What a way to wake up in the morning - coffee and clowns. Y'all make me feel sooooo good, and inspire me to get going. SEA - that's the exact reason I went to glass - couldn't fine colorful enough dishes around Texarkana. When are we going to see a WIP from you, girlie - get in that organized studio and mess it up. SUN FUN - I actually meant to bake the cakes BEFORE I mosaiced, but sorta got sidetracked. ROSIE is still in PA visiting her Dad, so I had two cakes last week and last night to bake - we bake for the homeless shelter every Thursday, and deliver on Friday. Once I got into the workshop I sorta lost track of time, what day it was, where I was, and ..... y'all know how it is. Then I realized OHMYGOODNESS it's cake day. HRSG - I didn't mean to upsweep when I started out - it was just gonna be scallops, but then I got carried away, and viola - another design is born. CHICKEE - many thanks. Wish you'd come see me and I'd bake one just for you. Still flattered, BAMA, NT, that y'all look in my album between postings. That just flat out makes me happy. This forum is the best place to come for inspiration and support. Thank y'all.

I never seem to be able to make my mosaic dreams come true. I messed it up terribly, and HATE it. I have to console myself w/the fact that it looks better than it did nekkid. Just got it covered, and w/grout tomorrow. Gotta start the concrete pad toppers now. Thank y'all for your nice comments. Sorry to disappoint anyone on this one. It's a disappointment to ME!

I was sitting on my couch, in a quite house with my fur babies curled up beside me. I pulled up your picture and I yelled "OMG!!!!" Well you never saw two cats move so fast! One of them scratched my leg in the process of the get-away!!

I love that every time I look at it (and I have gone back and drooled over it several times already!)I see something new, that I hadn't noticed before. I am certain that is better than anything I was imagining!!!! It's definately interesting in every direction - I LOVE IT!!!! I especially love those twirrely flower like shapes made from diamonds!!! heck it's all wonderful and tied together with that scallop design border - BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Y'all make my coffee taste so much better in the mornings. Absolutely - I can't believe y'all. I think it's a bit busy, but if y'all like it, I need to look at it again. BAMA - the website you posted recently on Etsy, and sent to me via email was a help, but I sorta got bored w/the whole thing and could have done much better. The ideas just come as I'm working. I really get bored w/long projects lately. I didn't want a lot of fru fru in this piece, since it's for a guy, so went geometric, which is NOT me. Thank y'all again for being so very supportive.

Each side is a treat to look at, but I think my favorite is the side with the diamond shapes in the flowers. That is reminds me of art deco.

Thanks again, HRSG and everyone who has commented on this LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG project that I'm soooooooooo glad to be finished. The topper for the rooster pedestal is made of gift tiles - yellow that are sooooo hard I could never nip them, and I felt them suitable to hold the weight of the rooster. I only had enough to do the design, and luckily had just enough two inch tiles I found in the garage to fill the gaps. Didn't want to waste glass on either one of them cuz they'll be covered up mostly. All I have to do is seal the grout so it won't look so flat. I like the glossy look, therefore have started sealing thing. Tile Lab glossy leaves a nice finish but not so glossy - just makes it look nice and almost wet. Boy, am I glad this is finished, and yes, y'all made me like it better.

Slow, I LOVE your pedestal!!! I would be so proud to have that in my yard. I love that each side has a different design. Your color choices are always outstanding! If your brother doesn't like it, you can auction it off here. : )

About to acquire another ironing board to replace the one I sold outta the guest bedroom, so that'll be easy. Also about to start a shrine for DD#2. Oh so much to do, and company coming again tomorrow.

Just today I was thinking I might need to mosaic a large flower pot for the climbing rose he'll put on top of the other pedestal, but decided to get off that thought right away.
