I am SO laughing at this! What came to mind were the dumpster divers slowly creeping past homes, ready to jump out and nab something, when lo and behold, the find it's epoxied to the sidewalk! LOL!!

Well that thought about the curb divers trying to steal it. I have to say at the time I wasn't happy at all, but now looking at it every time I walk out the door I just have to chuckle. when I showed my husband all he could do was shake his head and tell me to have fun getting it up. I have a floor scraper from when we tiled the kitchen, I am going to try to get it up with that tomarrow but if not I guess i have a date with an axe. LOL

Oh, sorry about the epoxy.

There's a sidewalk here in town that a guy glued a quarter to it and lots of people try to pick it up, just to find it glued down! I think it's humiliating and cruel, but he was a nice old guy and I don't think he meant it in a mean way. (Guess who got sucked in!!!)

I think I read you can use rubbing alcohol to get some of it off things..maybe it'll work to get it up....take some pictures of it before you try to scrap it offf the sidewalk though...sorry for your mishap. It is really hilarious though!!!!!

I don't think rubbing alcohol will do it. I have gotten epoxy off my fused pendants with 100% acetone. Might soften it up enough that you could pry it up. Sounds like you'd need a lot of it though!

Try Googling epoxy solvents. There are several listed.

I read this to DH and he suggested to either use acetone or lacquer thinner. Are there any instructions for clean-up on the can of epoxy you used? Hope you find something that works.

Like someone else said, thank goodness you did set it out on the sidewalk instead of somewhere inside! What if you had decided the bottom of the TUB was a good idea??! Well, I'M not laughing. Simply because this is something that would totally happen to me. AND it would happen as I'd have assembled a bunch of people to watch me use the epoxy. (My life is such a comic strip!) Anyway, when I used to be obsessed with long finger nails I would glue any broken ones back on (I promise I have a point). Anyway, nail glue is about the strongest adhesive I have ever seen (smelliest too) but, I would accidentally glue my fingers to the back of my opposite hand, to walls, counter tops, you name it and I've probably been glued to it in an attempt at pretty nails. Nail polish remover (with acetone) took it off everytime. Nail polish always has acetone in it unless otherwise noted. It sounds like you may need several bottles!
P.S. I don't care about my nails anymore.

Acetone is available by the gallon at paint stores.

While I was Googling for a solvent, one forum said acetone didn't work. There were several sites listing chemicals to use, but you can choose the ones you prefer.

well guys the floor scraper was a wash. my friend said i should just leave it there and use it for an ashtrya. I have taken pics and will post tommarrow when we get back from busch gardens. I knew you gals would get a kick out of it and I am glad my mishap was able to bring some good laughs at least.

Shellybelly, did you ever get it unstuck? Hope you found a solution and you're not lying on your sidewalk having a smoke, lol.

Cindy- its still there and holding on for dear life. Im so sorry i didnt post the pics but with 7 kid here its kind of hard to do anything right now the three older girls are on the verge of killing each other I guess they have been spending to much time together.
