at my cousin's coaxing, I joined the local fuchsia society and up and coming is a showing of personal fuchsias, from members.

since I've never done anything like this, I'm sorta only halfway excited about it...

there are 3 catagories..(and I know you're wondering what the heck this has to do with stained glass and mosaics..lol)

well, the 3 catagories are..

1) to display a single branch from a fuchsia plant, with a minimum of 2 blossoms, in near perfect condition

2) a small bouquet, using a fuchsia as the focal point, with other natural elements..ferns, branches..etc

and 3) a bowl of fuchsia blossoms, in a design..

it was suggested to use this stuff that gels the water, so the blossoms will stay in place, better than free floating.

here's my idea...and I need help...

I plan on making a mosaic design, with the blossoms I have. all I need to do, to explain it, is to name the different names of the fuchsias..

I have a few dozen different kinds, so using mostly pinks, lavenders, purples..I need to think of something that will be pleasing to the eye and still have an impact of a design, rather than a bowlful of flower blooms...

I want to call it a mosaic...flower mosaic, blossom mosaic, growing mosaic or floating mosaic

kinda bland names...I need more punch to it...

and I need a design..

I have till the 18th to come up with something. I'm going to enter the idea and names of the plants and that's all they need for now..

I can be more specific, when the day arrives.

it's going to be at the farmer's market and will be judged at the site where the lady who has a fuchsia stand will be set up..it's no huge deal but I never entered anything like this before.

no more than 10" across and no more than 6" deep...

square or round..has to be clear and no other things in it, like leaves or curly willow branches, which I wanted..darn it.

the colors are limited...pinks, purples, reds and white..and a touch of blue.
