Well how nice to hear. It's pouring rain and I'm sick w/a cold, so can't go out and measure, but I'd estimate that each section is about one ft. long and at the tallest part about six- eight inches. Of course, you could make yours any size you like, and the Riana method w/be sooooo easy. You could make more sections too, and make him wind around a flowerbed. I'm so glad to hear someone is going to make one that way. Anxious to see your first WIP.

I like the shape of the sections ( the roundness, I guess) So I wanted an approx size.

I'm thinging I should be able to shape the concrete the way I want even if the armature isn't perfect...or is that wishful thinking?

That's what I thought too, but it isn't that easy, so shape your armature as neat as you can possibly make it, and cut your stitches pretty close. Yeah, the dart is the secret to the curves. The joy of creating something from scratch outweighs the difficulty in the project. You'll be soooooo proud of your project when you finish. The two in the middle are identical and the head and tail have the details. I'm soooooooo anxious to see your beginnings. If I were making one, I'd make it much larger than the one I have. Make a monster serpent!!!

Monster serpent...Hummm...my neighbors already think I'm nuts....

Actually, bigger might be easier with those two middle pieces.

Maybe I'll have it "snake" through my lawn!!
