Yep, I know just what you mean. Just this morning I asked my 8 yo DS what color grout he wanted on "his" pot. I wanted him to do a flower pot for my "Family of Tippy Pots". He placed one piece of mirror on it and announced, "I'm not a glass person." So I finished it, and call it "his" pot. Ah, well, they won't all be farmers either, much to their father's chagrin. Funny thing is, the 8 yo is the artsy one! Say, maybe I'll get him to DRAW a design for me, then mosaic it. I hadn't thought of that!

My DD doesn't hold attention on much of anything except her computer buddies! I have a couple of her unfinished projects here, BB and st gl box.

Can't say much on the kid stuff since I never had any..
But for what its worth..my cats aren't interested in it either....

LOL bama! My kids HAVE to participate. They demand it! But they're so young they don't know how boring mom is yet. I am sure one day they too will be buried in their books and their computers and it will be just me and the schnoodle!

LOL Bama...funny!I can understand her not wanting to do any mosaics...but, SHE asked to do one and has decided it's not fun. What's up with that??I figured anyone would enjoy it once they got into it. In fact, I've been trying to keep my kids away from it because it's bad enough trying to support my own addiction. The last thing I need is to get my kids hooked as well!

my DD is my mini me she loves anything arts and crafts related we do scrapbooking, mosaics, sculpey,candle and soap making, and a slew of other crafts.

my oldest daughter is so afraid that her kids will take a liking to the things I do....lol
the 6 year old picks up rocks in the playground and has to bring them home to gramma...his mom just rolls her eyes. I love it lol

the littlest one, the 3 yr.old boy also finds cute things outside but he only shows me but wants to keep them for himself.

got a 10 yr old grandgirl, who loves to draw and color bright bold pictures. I have a set of 7 animals all copied and framed..they're awesome and worthy of child gallery status.

I know the mosaic will be a hit but I just haven't had the energy to go that route with them, because it's hard enough for me to get all geared up and finish a project.
I have better patience for them to sit at the kitchen table and paint on wooden birdhouses and boulders. that they love and I like their designs.
