Thanks for sharing those, Rosie. The GF clock is very attractive. Must be a very astute artist to be brave enough to put all that white on such a big piece. The fish was my favorite!

She ran out of the dishes w/color before she finished that piece, and had to scour the countryside in E. TX to find the same plates. Don't remember how many she had to buy but when she finally found them, she said she paid more for just one of them than she did for all the ones it took to make the clock. This artist is who I call the Queen of Mosaics in Texarkana. She uses a LOT of white in her mosaics. She's soooooooooo talented.

Great . . .just great . . .now I have to add a grandfather clock to my list of must-haves!

OH Rosie!! WOW That is wonderful!!! And the sad thing is I HAVE those blue edged plates. We use them for company or special dinners.

The clock we have is not that kind of GF clock. It is Joe's Grandfather's clock. LOL His sister would have a fit if I did this to it. Think I could stand a sister fit?? You bet-c-ya I can!!! Heheheh It is my hubby I need to get convinced.

His clock is the long flat base with clock in center rounded top. Nothing great but would be wonderful with mosaic. Right now I have it tucked away in the gun cabinet.

Now I did NOT jump up and set this table. I was sharing pictures of my setting on a decorating board a long time ago and remembered I had a picture of my blue plates. Considering in the flood they fell out the bottom of a box and crashed down the stairs and did not break when everything else did I do not have the heart to cut them up now. At that time I did not do mosaics but I do not think I could have used the broken things any way because looking at them would remind me of the fear and panic.It crossed my mind for about two seconds and rejected. Too bad it was pretty stuff. ALL my very favorite things. Sigh. The non broken plates remind me we lived through the night we should have died.

I do have a cheepie clock we use all of the time I just might mosaic!! This is great. Thanks for the nudge.

CRACKPOT: She's a local artist and since I didn't get permission to take photos, I'm holding back on her name. The clock was priced at $1300. I told her it wasn't enough and she said she had lowered her prices for the exhibition.
FIDDLE: I think the fish WAS done on metal. AND she did a two- sided design. WOW!
