I picked up 2 dozen of them off of craig's list a couple months ago . ( They're still in the back of my van .) LOL
I would love to mosaic them - but don't have a clue what to do with them once they're done ~ LOL

oooh... cut in half - as in becoming tesserae themselves, partially mosaiced on and around.... on a wood pyramid... a strange bowling pin sculpture... sorry, I got nothing! LOL

I originally thought of doing this in a big ring ... or some kind of metal frame - mosaicing a BB .. and somehow attach a couple mosaiced bowling pins - like the ball is hitting them --- and they are flying in the air ....I could attach the ball & pins to the frame . Cool sculpture - but that's as far as I got.

What about mosaicing 3 of them, attach them together in a group and put a mosaiced BB on top!! Oh, I'm having a vision!!

Mosaic them and hang them from tree branches like windchimes (my favorite kind - SILENT windchimes). . . . .

Glue three together to make a bowling ball stand. . . .

Make a long narrow flower planting bed with 10 pins on one end and a bowling ball on the other (all mosaicked of course) with flowers in between!

Cut them in half lengthwise and glue them at floor level to your wall to create interesting mop-boards!

WOW.......thanks so much everyone...I really like the bowling ball stand idea..who would have "thunk it." Don't have a pool table, etc......game room.......the wall idea is a great idea also....Kelly, I live in Southern Illinois...........close to Paducah...2 hrs. from St. Louis..........Cape Giradeau also.

I'm sure they would be cool but I can't think of a dang thing to do with them? Obviously I'm not much help, but when you guys do think of something to do (which all those ideas were very cool!!!!) it will be fantastic as usual!!!

glue 2 end to end, then cut the bottoms of 2 more to fit against those like a + then cut and add 2 more top and bottom and you have a jack... That moscaiked next to a BB would be really cool, twosies anyone?

Yes...love those ideas too..........now I'm wondering if I have enough pins!!!!! Great ideas ladies..I do need hose guards!!! And, I also have an area where I need some edging...........!!!! Now I am getting anxious to start!!!!

Initially I wasn't looking forward to doing any bowling pins whatsoever...but now with all the brillant ideas from these gals..I'm ready to rock and roll...so many neat ideas....55 pins may not be enough!!!!! Gracias everyone!
