Ramona, I used GEII silicone for it's instant stick - ability.

Now these topper pieces... weldbond just takes soooooo long to start holding... argh

Oh how BEAUTIFUL! LOVE the large globs and the large squares, but the way you nipped the plates - ahhh, oooohhh - I wish I could do that. Oh - perhaps you used the ring saw??? They look so perfect.

well thank you all. I admit I was nervous to show this cause it's a bit ... different - I was hating it last night after grouting - shelf of shame hatred! but after looking at it with new eyes tonight... I think it has evolved into something cool for me.

Just so you know, those aren't large gems, they're regular - it's really small. No mirror just cobalt cathedral, looks darker on the tray because I had to double it to match the hieght of the focal

Big plate rim was nipped off and nipped up into what you see, I did then use the ring saw circle cutter on that focal.

Nice that is really cool. It has a colonial-oriental feel to it! (If you can imagine what a colonial-oriental feels like!!!) I'm not sure if I spelled that word right but hopefully you get what I mean. I really like the blue. The placement of your bb's is a great focal point. Did you color some of the bb's?

See and I was thinking "Occupied Japan" so that explains it! Plates from Japan with royal English uniform buttons LOL

Blue are seed beads, silver are the BB's.

and if anyone wants to know WTH is that top, it's three little plastic flowers that I painted and glittered. It was screaming for something!

I think it looks wonderful and the two layers of glass to get to the same height will be one I will remember. I suppose getting two exact shapes might be a trick. For me anyway.

Well - what the hey!? The grout looks black now, as does the plate??? In the sunlight it was all blue. Whatever - it's beautiful. Seed beads??? Regular size globs??? Boy, this MUST be small. Afraid my old hands couldn't work this small. I LOVE the placement of your BBs and beads, and what a great idea on the top of the pot. Funny thing about this place - one minute we hate our work, show it on here, and suddenly we love it. Is it any wonder I'm addicted to this forum??? Y'all are so precious!

Oh yes the magic of my indoor lighting... can never get a decent pic in here at night. I'll do new pics outside.

I was'nt really "into" tea sets but since I'm trying to get into an art show I thought it would be good if I had a bit of a theme... shrug

Barb, I can't seem to get any closer without it blurring. Ever since someone (Hrsg? I think) pondered stamping grout - I've wanted to try and make some design on it that wouldn't overwelm the tesserae. So... long story short - I scribbled on it with a blue paint pen. It has a look of crackled paint. and changed the white just alittle bit without haveing to darken it.

Here's my outside shots tonight. I'm just gonna have to give up on indoor night photos with this lighting, it's too yellow.
