I haven't seen that posted on here before, but maybe you could use pictures and cover them with crash glass.

I'm still new at this crafting, but learning....so, what is crash glass? And where can I find it? I tried to put paint sample cards on the bowling ball, but not with alot of success, so I'm wondering how to put pictures on it. Thanks to you all. I love this place and WOW!!! have seen some beautiful work.

Cheryl, here's a link to my picture mirror and there's a quick description down in the thread. I'm not suggesting crash glass for pics beacuse the grout lines will cross over them. I think the large or even jumbo clear gems would work better

Cheryl, the reason I suggest half gems is that they actually magnify pictures under them, that could be really cool on a BB

I will try the gems on it, but I am still confused how to get the pics on the bowling ball. I guess they would just have to be small pics in order to glue to the ball. Thanks a bunch for the ideas, and I really like the picture mirror you did. Hope hubbby does too. What a cool idea. That sound easier to do than the bowling ball. I shall perservere.....By the way, did you tell me what crash glass is? And also, what does WIP stand for? I feel kinda silly not knowing....

that's ok. wip is work in progress. And crash glass is broken tempered glass, you can get it from body shops or glass shops...

Sounds like you attach the pictures to the backside of the glass globs...THEN you attach those to the BB. I guess if it were a large photo, I'd glue as many gg to the photo, then cut around each one. Then I'd reposition them in the correct order onto the BB.

Anyway to decoupage the pics and somehow get them sealed then glue the clear glass globs on it? Probably wouldn't hold up outside, would it? I have a book that did a pic in a frame without glass, but they glued clear glass squares on top of it. It looked pretty cool.
