WOW!! You sure glitzed that shoe up in a hurry, and wooooHOOOO, is that thing sexy!!! I found that the grout dulls the finish on plastic gems I use, but I also took a tip from someone on this forum to use clear nail polish to bring it back to shiny. Works well. I was gonna suggest polyurethane but remembered that it turned the grout whitish in spots on my first mirror, and I THINK I remember ROSIE saying on humid days it did the same w/one of her poly clay pieces. Pretty shoe - I like it a lot. You did a very neat job on it - as usual.

Bling Bling!!! More beautiful than Cindrella's glass slipper! I agree with Nice...think you really need to grout it? Grout will dull it for sure...if you do, I think that clear nailpolish would bring it back to life. Sure is stunning!!!!

Wow Hazie, Cinderella would have loved that slipper! Hard to tell because the photo is so small (hint, hint) but it doesn't look like it even needs grout!

I think Im with the other girls on the no grout issue. But like slow said use the polish afterwards if you think you need to grout it.

As for your blingy shoe....that turned out fabulous...I love it, it has so much class!!!! I have yet to do one but of course (as is so many others) its on my list of things I want to do before I die someday (ha ha)

Sorry, I can't remember who it was, but someone on here did a mannequin and used some of those pearls. The abrasiveness of the grout took the pearliness off & left the white plastic showing. This was a while ago. Sorry I have a cold & my brain's too foggy right now to remember who's mannequin this was!

It was TMG! I remember that well. That's all I thought about while doing this shoe. I was hoping a spray clear
sealer might save them. We'll see I guess!

Hazie, WOW, what a beautiful slipper! A perfect little princess shoe. I vote no grout; it's beautiful as is.

If you HAD to grout it, I'd vote for white but it sure is ethereal enough without grout! Soft and dreamy and beautiful!

OH How pretty.I vote no grout on this one too.

But then if it were me I might try glueing down a few little test circles or secton of the pearls around one of the rhinestones and see what grout or filling it with white glue would do to the look.

Then decide what you want to try on the shoe.

And would non sanded grout strip off the pearl coating?

Well I grouted it today...and it worked just fine!
The pearls look the same, even the gems look ok.
I was really gentle with it, and used more water in
the grout than usual, and a soft, real wet sponge.
I'm going to seal the grout to give it some shine,
because it's so dull looking. I couldn't stand seeing
the glue, and it just looked so unfinished.

Hubby has the camera today, so I'll post a pic tomorrow
after it's sealed.

Hey were some of the pearls on a string or were they stuck on there one by one? I couldnt really tell. It looked like some where strung and some werent.

I'm glad the grouting worked out okay. Can hardly wait to see the next picture - and hope you'll give us a close-up, too?? What a beautiful shoe - your work is always perfect!!!
