LOVE the shape! Your DD definitely has your talent, even if she IS 13...SUCH an aggrevating age!! Actually, doing a commission piece can be a little easier - remember, your DD knows exactly where your "buttons" are and how to push them to perfection.
The object placement is so even and balanced.....LOVE it all!

Thanks girls!!....I don't want to do different grout colors for awhile! I spent about 3 hours grouting. Next time I'll just paint the grout different colors........seems to go
much faster that way!

Crafty...That's a crown DD found in her box of goodies.

Gypsy....I saw that heart shape in one of my glass catalogs, so I drew it on plywood and hubby cut it out for me. Good thing I got the saw for Christmas last year.....
I never could've cut the V shape in the heart out of the mirror without it. I don't use it much....but when you need it, YOU REALLY NEED IT!

Hazie, that mirror is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! Gosh your work is just outstanding! Your daughter must be very proud - even if she doesn't let you know that now.

Tell me what kind of saw you are using. Is it a table jigsaw? I don't know much about saws but sure would like to have one to cut shapes like this.

D3bbi.....it's just a regular jig saw and lots of sanding
to get the shapes perfect. Hubby hates that about me! I will sand and sand when he's done.

That's absolutely beautimous! I especially love the pinkish purpley grout against the black tiles. You and your daughter did a great job and I'm sure she'll remember this project fondly :-)

I love everything about it. The shape is really cool, the colors are fantastic, the placement of the tesserae is perfect (as usual). That glass is so beautiful!!! And the two colors of grout was the perfect choice. That pink next to the black just makes it pop. This is just amazingly beautiful. Wow. I love it.
