I love your design. Is that colored mirror on the border?

I love how you used the mirror!!! What a creative idea. I think I like the gray or more charcoal for grout color. Not sure I'm seeing the background and border colors well. Is the filler black? and what is the border? I love those dancing colors on the border.

The border is colored mirror pieces. The filler is tinted crash glass that is actually a smoky gray.

The images are not so good, so I think I need to take a better one to show what it really looks like.

Perfect color for grout..this is babba boom! Really KEWEL. I love when included in the pictures we also get to see what our mosaic peers use in their creations..Weldbond on this, etc..........you've done an amazing job.

Well, I guess I'm the only vote for yellow. Looks more sunshin-y to me. Love it no matter what, though!!

Thank you all for the comments. I like the gray, but I'm with Maria on the yellow. It just seems more sunny. But the red seems to make the whole thing pop. Hmmmm...dilemma...

What about a gold grout? As in sparkle gold?

I think I would go with a brighter grout. I'd be afraid a gray might tone it down too much with the smoky gray glass. I would want it to be like sunshine - more maybe a darker gold vs. yellow.

Question on the Van Gogh tiles...does anyone have a close-up of those? The name sounds interesting, but online pix I'm guessing aren't doing these justice. Anyone use them?

I also like the yellow and red. I what about using both or heck, 3 colors.
yellow and red for the sun & rays gray or something else for the border??

Well, I finally finished this one after a little problem with completing.

When I grouted the colors were not working for me, and so I went back and painted the grout black today. Also it needed a touch to finish the edge so I painted it with a silver metallic paint.

Now I'm pleased with the looks of this piece. So now I can move onto another project.

OH I just LOVE this!! I am not usually a drak grout person but it is just perfect on your mirror. The colored mirrors on the edges are stunning. I especially like the silver paint on the very edge. Makes a nice finish. I think on the diagional for hanging.
