Nice-Yes I did all the green fill on the mesh...that is what took so freakin long!! That fill is so boring to do but its gotta be done!!

lilpeaches- the spacing isn't really as good as it looks. The mish mash of green blends really well with all the other pieces luckily. I learned alot about placement on this bench thats for sure!!!

Very professional is right-on!! The spacing is absolutely, phenomenally wonderful!! Who cares how long it takes if the results are this great!?!?!?

Chickee, WOW, that is BEAUTIFUL!!! That green background is just perfect. Puts my bench to shame. Your's is the college grad of mosaics, mine is the kindergarten version. LOL

I don't know if anyone has any suggestion for you before you grout but on my bench, I tried to clean out the grout between my pieces while it was wet. What I discovered after grouting that the thinset is still showing through with little white spots. So I didn't clean it out as much as I thought I did. This was my first large project using thinset. I had done 2 mushrooms before as practice but I think on the bench I was trying to build up the glass to match the dishes and it caused more squish in the crevices.

d3bbi- thank you for the tip but me thinks its to late for my circle part of the bench!!! I did not understand the concept "less is more" at that point and I just hope there is enough room that some of the grey grout will cover it..otherwise Im thinking I'll have to paint the grout grey!!! Live an learn!!!

By the way..your bench was NOT a kindergarden version...I loved your bench!!!

Annie- I did it on mesh because I hadnt tried it before and yes because it was so big.

Hazie- the mannequin...oh man I am not ready for her yet...maybe after the holidays!!! (another great excuse not to start her cuz Im scared!!!)

Grouting tomorrow night and will post pics then!!! Tomorrow I am doing a "how to make a stepping stone using the reverse method" get together with my MIL and her friend. So I wont get to grout till evening.
