I like it, I like it. The rope is a great addition. The diamonds are such wonderful pieces. They make great flowers too. I REALLY love the diamonds. Soft colors - really pretty, ROSIE. I suppose this one is going to the gallery also?????

Thanks so much for that link! Laurel Skye is one of my mosaic heros... love her work! Yup... the horn is super.. and her mando and fiddles amazing!

Call me blind as a bat! Had to take another gander at this beautiful guitar, and do I feel like an idiot! Here I suggested black grout and it's already grouted......dah....don't pay any attention to me obviously, as I can't see..wear trifocals..my excuse and I'm sticking to it! It's just awesome Rosie, and the diamond cuts so perfect...and the cord around really adds even more interest..................

WOW! I LOVE THIS!! Have been trying to get a guitar off freecycle but no givers, always looking in the thrift stores. Cant wait till I find one. Till then, I'll just look at yours... Its so WONDERFULLY pretty!

Thanks everyone! I used grey grout but haven't had time to finish the guitar. we're away for several days so I'll be out of touch. will touch base and answer questions when I return. BEVINPA: the williamsburg scenes aren't from a book. It's from a Heritage Painting Folk Art pattern pack designed by Betty Caithness. I'll bring it along on my trip. If we can get together while I'm in Pa. you can make copies. If we don't hook up, I'll send you copies!

I had to buy some more beads (50% off at HobLob) to finish the strings. Unfortunately, the colors are not as vibrant as in real life. The green is that lime green (chartreuse?). The beads around the hole are from Michaels. I also used green glitter tiles from Mosaics by Maria. I think I took 9 photos.

The beaded strings just top it off! Hey... what are those pretty square tiles with the tiny little millefiori (sp.) kind of look embedded in them? They're on the sides of the fingerboard and around the sound hole? They are VERY pretty!
The whole things is SUPER... and makes me want to start a guitar immediately!!! (Well.. immediately after I finish the other stuff I've not worked on in weeks... but WILL tomorrow! :)

NT: Those "millefiore tiles" are from Michael's--from their bead gallery. I think I've fallen in love with beads. As I was stringing them, I thought they would make a wonderful necklace for ME!

Rosie if you want a great selection of beads check out shipwreck beads...they are huge!!! I have bought soo many beads from there and their prices are pretty darned good!!!!
