Well, I think I posted a reply in the wrong forum......so be it.........but all I can say is another reason I loathe Wal-Mart for ruining the Mom and Pop business' out of business....love going to towns where they don't allow Wal-Mart.......so this is another example of their ineptness...hiring help that need work, but are cheap in wages..but you can bet they won't be losing any business.................if this was a Mom and Pop mistake...they'd be getting all kinds of flack and a new cake.........and a SINCERE apology from REAL people.....sorry..I have a big issue with this.............Wal-Mart thing!

Well, being an employee of WALMART I probably shouldnt even be responding to this as it really ticks me off that because of one persons MISTAKE suddenly it becomes everyone that works there INEPTNESS. We are all people who need a job just like everyone else and not all people from all jobs extend the best service. I for one am not an idiot, just happens to be a convenient job that lets me work hours around my kids, but you can bet I feel like one when the public as a whole treats you that way because you work at WALMART. Believe me when I say that when I have to apologize to someone it is with utmost sincerety from a REAL person. Not all of us are like the ones you see or hear publicized. You wouldnt judge all germans by Hitler or all blacks by Al Sharptin. I dont want to be defined by the fact that I work at Walmart and I certainly wouldnt treat the lady at the bank or the guy from my crappy internet service in such a mean way but you can bet we get treated like !@$# because we work at WALMART. I'm not posting this to create hard feelings, just realize that we ARE real people who just need a job like the rest of you.

BUT! BTW! That is PRETTY FUNNY! I must say so myself!

Oh -- Lil' Peaches ---- Anybody - anywhere could have made that mistake . It just happened to be at Walmart . If it was a big chain store - it would have been posted under that name . Whoever did it - it's laughable ! It's not a reflection on you --- ( believe me ) it's just one of those silly things. Please don't take it seriously,ok ???

Oh I didnt take it as seriously as it may have come across in typing. I get so much negative #$%^ from my BF's family about working there that I think I just vented what I'd like to say to them LOL! No hard feelings, yall are more like family than some around here.

Didn't mean to step on toes...........I just have an issue with WalMART..........I know everyone needs a job....don't think this is the correct forum to address these issues...won't discuss it here after this..........not against employees of Walmart..just Walmart's values and ethics......go to a different forum for this......if not...I'm done. Walmart has run so many of the local private businesses out of business..........go to a different forum for this.

I for one, am glad you work at WalMart. I believe in shopping where I find the best value for my limited dollars. Sometimes it's Walmart, sometimes it isn't.

ohhhhhh, I hate it, when something like this happens...
yesterday, when I read it..it was hilarious...and yes, because there are issues here, too...about Walmart and whaterver personal peeves people have...it made it a good scapegoat for dumb mistakes....
however.............
now that I reread this, with the personal note in there, where there are real people involved...
it's still funny but with a twist.

I would hate to be the mother of the one who did that mistake and have it posted on the internet, or if their name got out, or if it was anyone directly connected to me..why? because it's a reflection..
don't know why that should/would matter...but being fragile folks, like we are...it's something we guard ourselves against.

the person on the phone, when you think about it, was following directions..ver batim and did what the order indicated.

oh, now I hope they don't send it to Leno or anyplace else.

I'm feeling sheepish, that I got such a bang out of it, at someone else's expense and to have employees of Walmart here...well, I'm sorry, in my own personal empathetic way, that this happened.

I could just about cry, to know that some foolish comment, can do so much damage..and this doesn't come from the cake thing at Walmart..this comes from this past weekend..

remember when I said I would try and check in on that chat line going, for the forum members, who had started the Sunday night chat, for whoever was available? and I said I would try and check in and doubted it, cuz my niece is such a 'dork child'??

well, that dork child was so insulent to my mom, who I had gone to watch, since she's not 'with it' any more, from dymentia...
the niece was making fun of her...
and called her a bit*h and all..well, my feelings are raw now and I want to emphasize about having compassion to all, who are maybe not up to speed in all areas..

that person who decorated the cake, did what was asked..
in a job setting..it was done, as precisely as possible, to please the customer.
and most likely a young person, who didn't realize there was more to the comment.."underneath, write 'we will miss you'....

or 'under neat' we will miss you...it would sound like maybe it was a cleaning issue..like in filing and doing a neat job or who the hell knows the thinking of the person...

anyway........funny as it was..it's diluted now and someone was made the back end of a joke.

I don't want to know much more about it but it was cute, the first time around.

I hate, double hate to hurt people's feelings.

Being employed by a company does not require someone to be responsible for the corp business model.

The cake would be hilarious no matter where it came from and it happens to be from a giant corp who has been successful in killing it's competition by doing business cheaper than anyone else. Cheap goods + cheap labor, very often cheap labor is equated to intelligence. But there are always exceptions to every formula. Just as know that our friend lilpeaches is employed by walmart, I will not belive that everyone working at walmart is a smart and creative individual.
