What a wonderful way to honor your sisters memory! My own mother moved on from this life due to breast cancer 5 years ago. Her birthday was Oct. 8th.
I love your bench and would love to use your idea for my own memory garden.
I dont know why but I never thought of doing something like that.

Thanks everyone for your sentiments. Denise was such a special person; I learned so much about living as she traveled through this journey in her life.

Here is a photo of the garden when we laid it out this spring. It's raining outside now so can't take a current photo. On the right side of the bench is a pink rose given to me after her death. It has a bud on it today. : ) On the left is a plant given to us by my daughter's inlaws. I replanted it and it is thriving. The center is the bowl that Denise gave me. I have a ceramic angel sitting in it.
