My faux van gogh attempts

Hi, Here are my first attempts, as I mentioned earlier It was weird painting in reverse, so there is too much gold on the purple one. ( It was hard to get purple in the photo, it is pretty deep purple.) I like the red/brown gold one best, it is very dark in person. And the white one is painted with a interference blue pigment powder so in certain light/angles it looks very blue. I also did one with just a glow in the dark sealer ( van glow?) but it needs some tweaking. I did cut it up and will use on something, so no photos yet)I found it very difficult to get a good photo.

I have collected somewhere some tiles with Van Gogh paintings on them. Perhaps I'll make a flower pot and I'll call it a Van Grow!

Thanks for the inspiration, I have 8 more sheets of glue chip to practice on!

Yes, I did that room for my Grandaughter while she was away on vacation.. I snuck in and did it..she was surprised! ( it was 100 degrees w1000%humidity too) I really can't paint, I just make a big mess and when I am tired I stop! I do wish that this "tennis elbow" would get better so I can really try all this glass cutting.But.. I can break stuff really well!

Hey - I LIKE those colors, especially the blue one and the brown one. What gold did you you - gold leaf or paint. Did a great job, and the blue/white interference one is really nice too. Nice album - like the fish creature stepping stone, and the lamp shade.

I must have missed something here ...... ( Of course it doesn't help to have a 10 second memory either ) Patio Paint ? Glass ? "Van Gogh " glass ? Is this for GOG ? Does anyone wish to clue me in with a condensed version of how it's done ? LOL ( I swear - I have to start taking notes for myself ) It's awesome ! Thank you so much !!!!!!!!!!!

Here is the link for Slow's faux Van Gogh glass. Basically, you are painting layers of paint onto the textured side of clear glass which makes a much cheaper version of Van Gogh glass. Then you can nip it and use it in projects with the painted side down so it won't scrape off when you grout. Better to use on indoor projects, outdoors it could fade.

It turned out so great!!!!!! I really think their pretty!!! I still need to paint black over mine!
