Only one I ever used is called World of Warcraft - oh wait - that's a game - well seemed like a big chat room most of the time lol.

Seriously though, the greyhound forum I use has a live chatroom but it's usually empty. Don't know if gardenweb would ever provide anything like that - good idea though.

Yep, I used to chat with a stained glass group many years ago. We would always meet on Thursday nights around 9pm.
I think it was an aol chat room and you had to know a password to get in. I'll check into it.

There is a chat room over on wetcanvas for art chats...mosaic is art so we would be welcome I'm sure. I talk pottery over there. You can create your own temp. room or use one of the 4 rooms provided...usually there is only one busy room and 3 empty ones. Its open to all wc members so all anyone would have to do is join and then go to chat.

The only problem is finding a time when the most people can come(wednesday and thursday aren't good for me right now as I teach class at night...and in a few weeks monday and thursdays won't be good cause my class nights are changing)also make sure everyone knows what time zone you are referring to when you decide on a time.

What a fun idea! We could make it a set day and time and anyone available could pop in....haven't tried live chat before, looked at a couple a few yers ago, but couldn't follow who was talking to whom...may have been coz I didn't know anyting about getting involved, but always willing to try something new!

Oh dear, PEA! Don't send me back to wetcanvas or I'll be MIA in here! That was my previous obsession, in the Drawing and Sketching forum, before I found this group. (Yeah, I can draw well enough to hold my own. I just don't much.)

I did find a place we could meet. Rather than posting the link, which I don't think we're supposed to do in here (right?) if you are interested in chatting in a group, email me at ladyronnie@w2wfriends.com (that's a hint!) and when several people are interested, we can plan a get-together. 'k?

By the way, let me know what time zone you are in when you write, so we can work around that when we schedule. We won't be able to accomodate EVERYONE at once perhaps, but maybe if we have a couple different times, everyone can join at least one or the other if not both. What fun!
