An easy question. You can bond old cement and new cement by wetting the old cement and then applying a coat of an acrylic admix. Admix is found in homedepot. It is a milky looking substance. I used an old foam paint brush and painted the admix on. Then I mixed a small batch of fairly firm cement using the admix instead of water. Applied a good blop or two on and shaped her features with my gloved hands. I tried to get as close to what I wanted as possible. Then I let it sit for a couple of hours and went back with my carving tools and carved a bit to make the features more to my liking.Hope this helps,

Hey Kilinger, not so fast! I looked at your wonderful web site, (gosh you are GOOD girl!!) and there was mention of a sealer. What brand do you use? And do you use it on everything?

Hi Bama, I use a lot of tile lab sealer. I also have another brand which eludes me at the moment. I'm off to work and will try and go out to my shed and get the name for you tonite or tommorow. It is very heavy duty and leaves a sheen. Bama, are you still thinking of gong to Puerto Vallarta?

Yep. I'm still planning on it. I reserved room #1 on the top floor I think it's above room #6. I hate we couldn't all get on the same floor.
