Yeah it's in the same room, and no you don't cuz
it's hanging right next to the black armoire with the
salmon tiles (gaaag)

The moth can't live here forever unless I redecorate
my bedroom and move it in there. It's in colors
that aren't found in my home...for me this was
working "out of the box" I usually never choose
to work in cool colors.

I'm still drooling. Showed my other half he said awesome and just looked and looked at it and said to me when you doing something like that. Soon i said. LOL..... He has to get my room done first. Great job though.

WOW! This is gorgeous! I love it in all lights, its always a little different, but against the window light "awesomely beautiful". Truly a work of art.

That would look so good in a window - the colors are awesome. It really is great how we inspire each other ,isn't it ? -- Especially people like me that need a push . When I post a WIP ,and I hear ooh's and ahh's and everyone telling to get busy & finish it - I get right at it ! WHo knows how many unfinished projects I'd have in my closet if it wasn't for you gals !!

Hi linlee, I did a search on copper and discovered your luna moth. I couldn't believe how beautiful it was. I was going to start a new thread and luckily found this one. I love your moth and your work is so precise and your choice of colors and materials to use is wonderful. When we lived in Arkansas we would see the luna moths early in the morning and were in awe of their beauty - just as I am in awe of the spectacular and artistic job you have done. Thank you for letting us view your art and thanks so much for posting so many photos for us to see your progress. An unbelieveably beautiful piece - should be hanging in a mosaic gallery for the world to see.
Linlee, will you post a photo of your moth in its frame hanging up when that is ready? How will you hang it - will it be very heavy?

We really need a gallery on this forum - so everyone's art work isn't lost to the viewers when the threads get older and so we can go back and view the art as many times as we want

Just gorgeous in every light. The frame really sets it off beautifully. I think I'd be inclined to redecorate a room or whole house to go with it. I am in awe.

LINLEE: The owner of the gallery where I sell my work tells me people are afraid to buy things that don't "match" their homes but true ART transcends decorating styles and color choices. Display your LUNA MOTH in your home as an "art piece", not as something to compliment a bedspread or armoire. Otherwise, I'd be happy to display it in MINE!

The adult Luna only lives for about a week...isn't that

After the holiday exchange thing I'm supposed to start
an inset that will be set into the front brick paver walkway. Hoping to lift about a 4 sq.foot area and make a
cement pad for it. Gonna try the mesh technique...I like working in the direct method a lot more than the backwards/paperface stuff. Now if I only had a subject idea to ponder over the holidays I'd be content.

Beautiful. Looks like the frame was made for it. When you said sequel I thought there was another project in the works and wondered how you have the brain power to tackle another project so soon.
