Bama, yes, I used a pattern. This is the 2nd time I've made the bonsai. My sister fell in love with mine, so I'm making her one for Christmas.

OH Boy BOTH are just stunning!!!! I also love the copper foil look. Can't do it myself. Maybe someday. Very nice.

The tree panel is awesome! I am so jealous that you have room enough to make something that big. Do you make a lot of foiled stained glass? Does it take a long time to learn how to foil and solder?

sirius: foiling is much more tedious. Have to be much more precise with the cuts, grind all edges, get the foil centered (still my nemesis), and I still envy those who make beautiful solder lines, after 8 years I still have ugly solder lines. Lead came is much more forgiving, but I like the foil finished product best.

love that stained glass. thinking about taking an abbreviated 1 day stained glass class this month. she charges $75 and you make a project yourself. 3 people only so she can watch and teach.....barb
