Your vase really turned out great. I love the simplicity of it. Its very serene and calming but still beautiful. You did a really great job on it, the glass globs were a really nice touch!!! Im glad your friends loved the effort and love you put into it.

That IS very nice! I'm glad your friends appreciated it. I keep looking around my friends' home for the cowboy boot I poured my heart into for them, and I don't see it. Bothers me, ya know? Some people DON'T get it. Could we maybe create a pre-WIP questionnaire? hmmmm....

Diy I am so sorry I thought your vase was stained glass. I swear when I looked at it late last night I thought it was glass and foil and solder. Your grout lines are so perfect. WOW Now I know it is mosaic I stand even more of a chance to do something like this. This is wonderful. My colors are more in the purples but a few sunny yellows added would be great!!!

DIY, I LOVE it! Beautiful!!! I too thought it was stained glass until I enlarged the photo. I am excited because I just ain't good at soldering. I'm trying to make a kaleidescope for my 5 year old GD and ugh with the soldering.

Thank you all so much. The reason the vase was quick is....I have a grinder. Made a few rectangle patterns, laid them on the vase, cut the glass and rounded the corners so they looked more finished. Shades, don't worry about it. That was compliment; if only I could solder. I bought the glass vase, which is nice and substantial, for $1 at thrift store; almost bought the same one for $6 at TJ Maxx right b4 that. I had a little grout creep on one side because I didn't notice it was slightly concave. I also didn't use much really clear glass because I didn't want to have to deal with grout creep and bubbles so it was pretty fast. I am lucky that I was also given some small pieces of lots of pretty glass so I could use several different shades. I may do another in a different color combo for a gift. If I could only luck out on another vase that cheap......
