Chris, I love those plates. Great idea; I would have thought of it AFTER the TV was in place, etc. Sage green would probably look great with those plates.

LOL YES I was frantic to get something on this stand and FAST. When hubby started talking about painting it black the project speeded up.

I sort of had other plans for those plates but they were sitting there all cut and ready to go and the glass globs were sitting on top of the box. I just knew this would work and go fast.

Looking at the picture the flash really washed the colors in the plates out. I will try to get a beter picture after I grout.

Like what you did to it. We actually measured the entertainment center BEFORE we bought our new TV for just this reason. No way I was gonna buy ANOTHER entertainment center.

It's amazing how fast you got that pattern down perfectly. Going to look nice. I can't believe how everyone's husbands allow them to do that. I want to do some furniture dang it. Maybe I'll buy an old chair from the Goodwill and mosaic it so he can see how good furniture looks covered.

What a fun piece! Love the dishes, they are just beautiful.
So what did hubby say about it? Can't wait to see it grouted with the green.

Dashing through. Cooking dinner. I grouted the stand today. After I loaded up the picture I saw I missed a little grous clean up. I got it fixed now. No time to redo the picture.

I do like the sage green color but it looks more blue in the picture than in person. Camera has color issues sometimes.

Back to answer some of the comments.

Wench the entertainment center we had was not great and since we already had ths base to the gun cabinet to use we did not have to buy anything new. Hubby has wanted one of these flat TV's for a long time. Shrug. Can not deny a man his TV when he enjoys it so much.

Sirius, The thing I did the mosaic on is just two, two by fours on end with a piece of one by ten screwed across the top of them. No not really furniture. But the rest of the houe is filled with furniture I covered in glass and china. Up and coming projects I hope to do are the old entertainment center cut down to just the glass cabinet now, the funny little chest of drawers in my office or was in my office, A large picture frame I want to make into a mirror for behind my mannequine and a small drop leaf table our little shy dog uses as her hide out. Hubby just worries the floor might fall in?? Yah think??? NAW Hehehehe
