OH VERY!!! This is just lovely. Don't EVEN get me started on mosaicing furniture. I've held off touching that part of the house, but w/things filling up, that might have to come soon. You've done a beautiful job, and it's REALLY gonna be pretty once you S/C the chest. I LOVE the piece in the middle on the bottom drawer. What is it, and what color is the glass background. Can't quite tell.

I hesitate to say this, but I think pink on the whole thing might be a bit too much if it's staying in that room.
What about painting it white and destressing it like the chair next to it?
As for grout..hmm, that's kinda hard for me to suggest. What about a dove gray? Gray goes well with pink.
Regardless of what you do, it's stunning mosaic work!

I Love that drawer handle too!!! I say gold grout, white grout or cream and if not, paint it gold? It is truly beautiful already! 10 days of mosaicing! How wonderful!!! Good to hear from you again! Jane

Gorgeous, hmm I think maybe black grout would look very nice. But perhaps not for a shabby look, maybe just a tan color then?

Lovely work! THe knob is super pretty! If you don't mind me asking, did you shabby the chair? If so (or if you happen to know) what technique was used? By that I mean was applying and later removing wax used or was it sanded or something else? I really like the way the larger 'chipped' areas look.

I am having second thoughts now, will more then likely go with painting white and grouting white, to stick to a more shabby theme. I was thinking electric when I was imagining pink paint! Thanks for all your suggestions.
Yep I did paint the chair next to the drawers, its a love seat that I picked up on ebay for $150. I gave it the shabby treatment...whilst my hubby cringed! "Are you sure you wan to do that?", he asked a million times. hehe
I used ceiling white then just used fine sand paper to give the look of old.
Actually about 12 months ago I went on a painting spree, I painted all the funiture in the house!!! I will post some pics soon...... hehe

I added some pics of my daughters room, don't know if I posted the butterfly mosaic in her window? Some grout didn't stick in some areas, so needs fixing. There's also a close up of the ungrouted drawers.

Oh PS. The knob in the centre of the bottom drawer is from a shop called Recollections, dont know if you have it where you are? Its a reproduction antique store. Cost me 4 bucks on sale.
