A friend forwarded me this link. It has some neat bisque forms that look mosaicable (? is that a word) and has some display hooks/stands that seem reasonably priced. So I am passing it on.

( random thoughts:...those boot vases are calling me even though they're not my usual style!

...I used to do ceramics and I miss the smell.. I've always wanted to do pottery but just never did..oh where is my coffee)

You're right about the smell meadel - funny you should mention that. I recently saw a tv show with someone throwing on the wheel and could immediately "smell" what was happening. Took me back to college days when I constantly smelled like that!

I have a little Christmas money burning a whole in my pocket and I think I'm gonna order a case of those strappy sandals. Everyone loves the shoes I've made for my garden out of real shoes. Doing them on a ceramic base HAS to be easier.

Should be interesting!

Hmmmmm.... the thought of a boot exchange... or sandal exchange comes to mind... hmmmmmm.
Anyway... what a lot of great ideas there! I've not been a potter... wished to learn... but the smell of violin rosin brings memories to me. :) Maybe I just need to mosaic a nose or something! LOL

What a great idea, kate! I wonder how much it would cost to 'redistribute' those if we bought several cases for an exchange...shipping to everyone, I mean.

...the E6000 is $3 less through that site than what Michael's charges around here. (Assuming that what I have at home is the 3.7oz toobie).

I ordered a case of sandals and the shipping cost is more than half the cost of the case.

At $22.50 for 6, the each price is $3.75.

With shipping the price each jumps to $5.82.

Still not bad, but just so you know what you're looking at for an exchange item.

It was just a passing though. Too much with the initial shipping... and then re-shipping.
And... the more I think of it... it's been MUCH fun just doing our own 'thing' with the holiday swap. I DO like those sandals, boots, and purses though!
