silver compote 'bird bath'

I just bought this silver plate compote at the GW for $1.99. I thought "bird bath" as soon as I saw it, although it's intended for bath soaps or jewelry. Also another birdhouse,no fringe on it yet.

How pretty both are! I keep bookmarking your pages because I have so much beautiful SC china and love the way you make yours look with the added touches. Hope you don't mind if I steal some of your ideas?

Oh,thank you all so much*blush* copy me, I copy others :) No cold weather here until next week,it's been almost 80 and high humidity!! I've been collecting junk for years from yard sales, and I'm so glad to find something nice to make from them. I buy a lot of birdhouses from yard sales really cheap, also baggies of junk jewelry at thrift stores and the Dollar stores have nice things, jewelry and things with porcelain flowers cheap you can cut apart:) The candle sticks I use I bought for a nickel each at a yard sale, lots of them :) My sisters supply me with china and jewelry they find at thrift stores and yard sales, and even my husband is great at finding things I can use. We try to go to yard sales every weekend. My house looks like a flea market right now! stuff piled everywhere while I create, and I only got the tree up yesterday :) Dining table is covered...I am tempted to get rid of my daughters mattress and put Granny's old iron headboard in the attic to turn that room into a work room :)
