Exchange...what I was going to send.

Here are some pictures of an abstract kind of doohickey I was going to send. It didn't get done in time and it actually still needs to be finished. It for some reason has slipped to the bottom of my list.

It is 2' x 1 1/2', I think in the end it would have been way to heavy to send. I was originally going to put the name of my exchange partner in it, but I didn't like how it turned out. I got into my husbands junk box and stole some screws, nails and other sorts of stuff. I think overall it turned out okay.

Does anyone else have gifts that are still sitting waiting to be finished?

That is WONDERFUL!
I never thought about stealing stuff from my DH's tool box, but now I will! That's a big piece for mailing. Postage would've been over $10. But I KNOW whoever got it would've LOVED it. I know I would!!

Amie this is WONDERFUL!! I LOVE the colors. Would be GREAT in my guest room. WOW that is pretty. Not sure why you are not liking it.

I made a train stepping stone and used some washers from the hubbys garage and other little things that I dont know what they are called.

I like it, its really creative. Its fun using weird stuff like that isnt it!! Good job!!! It would've been a great exchange gift!!!

How cute and whimsical! That word is over-used, I know, but it REALLY fits this piece! Love the swirlies and the colors are so sweet!

Thank you ladies for all the nice comments. I don't think DH has missed any of his stuff. We are remodeling our house so he has boxes of screws and nails all over the place.

Calamity...the blingy pink glass is backed by painted aluminum foil. I thought it gave the glass a cool look.

Oh, I like it, I like it, and yes, it is a GYPSIE kind of art. If your DH is one of those garage neatnicks that has a very organized and decorated garage, you could give it to him. DO FINISH IT. It's a very nice mosaic.

You guys are so INVENTIVE! Do you have a "block" of colored glass that you stick that foil to, then cut it up, or do you actually painstakingly glue small hunks of foil down, then glue your pieces to that? (and it's crumpled up, I take it, yes?)
