D3bbi: You're probably referring to the orangish BEADS from Michael's or HobLob. I'll show close ups when I'm finished so you can see the details. Here's the photo of the KLIMT I purchased. I've studied her work and notice that she has the tiniest of grout lines. The overall effect is so different from other work I've seen.

Oh my goodness, such beautiful work, all of them. Your cat is going to be every bit as awesome as the one that inspired you. Actually think your colors and design show up better in a shorter version. Love the face you purchased; sounds like a nice artist too. Don't know of anybody around here that is a mosaic artist that sells. Really doesn't seem to be that popular. My next trip to see my daughter in NYC, I'm on a hunt. Fortunately, we're big museum/gallery people (she's interning for an art dealer while in school), so she'll go with me.

Oh geez RMT! I LOVE that cat. I noticed the seed beads in your grout, looks really nice. I also like small grout lines, but these are the smallest I've ever seen. Reminds me of the old italian mosaic I just saw in an antique shop. You could barely see any grout on it at all.

I wish I had known this Tyler chick BEFORE we moved from there. I would've loved to have visited with her and seen her work!

Wow Rosie that is a great cat!!! I just love it. All the detail in it is awesome.They grey grout looks really good with it all too. I used to do tiny grout lines and I think I just got lazy and made them wider!!! It sure is a lot easier to grout when the lines are smaller dont cha' think?

Cute as can be. It must be smaller than I'd originally thought. What are the eyes, and what surrounds the nose milifiore, and the whiskers - seed beads attached on top after grouting? Very pretty colors.

SLOW: I forgot to say how large she was. The inside dimensions (the mosaiked part only) is 19 1/2" x 9".

What a hip, cool cat! I love the colors. It needs to go where hip, cool bands are playing. But we hardly have those anymore, so I guess you'll have to play the "Cool Cat Music" at home.
