Did you cut out a base to put the glass on? How did you ever come up with the design? I don't know why I can't get flowing lines like others. I love how modern it looks.

Hazie --- I'm keeping it aside ... the only thing that kept me sane this last year is buying decorative stuff .... alittle bit here & there .....for when my FIL is gone . It's a future project that I'm going to hang in my newly claimed living room . It gives me hope ~~ :)

silly mirror question this morning:
How is it that your individual mirror pieces still reflect a single image, rather than multiple images of the same thing? I've never understood that. How come some 'broken mirrors' each have their own reflection of the space, but when they weren't broken, they reflected a single image?

that's a good question -- maybe, because all the pieces are flat ? If they are angled toward each other ,wouldn't the reflection be all wonky ? I'm guessing,too. Now I'm going to be thinking about this all day ~~~ LOL

The substrate is my favorite thing to work with - 1/8" plywood. I buy 4 x 8 sheets and cut them into sections .
My "Stash" is down in the basement - next to the freezer ( and it's a GOOD stash !,too !) I also love to use "foam core type board " - it's not foam in between - it's plastic on both sides with plastic ribs in between. My friend works at a liquor store and they gets tons of huge signs and cutouts and displays. It's 1/4" thick. They throw it away .
