Thank you for all the kind comments! I have been doing stained glass for many years, but never mirrors/frames until these. And after seeing all the different ones here, I really want to get into doing more. My favorite is the sunflowers and the orange mirror tile. I put the mirror tiles along the edges and grouted it. Then took polished rocks and filled in. After the weldbond dried, poured resin over the rocks. I didn't dare grout or it would have covered everything. They were beautiful polished rocks and many were clear with brown streaks running through it. (If you look real close, there is a lizard and a shell in two of the corners.) By pouring the resin over, it encased the rocks and created an incredibly smooth finish over everything. I am going to do some more experimenting with the resin. I just like the finished look you get,

The ferns were not hard to do, just cutting out lots of pcs.
And I would love it if you made a trip to IOWA! Any of you. We would have a lot to talk about!

Becky, Love all of your mirrors but I favor the ferns! I wish I could see the orange one closer. It's hard to see the fill of rocks but it sure looks great. What size are they?

Beautiful mirrors. Can't decide which one I like the most!

They are all so pretty I too like the orange one .I wanderd how you did it .So cool.

The rocks are small, about the size of a thumbnail. Double click on the picture and it will zoom up a bit so you can see them better.

Those are all so awesome and nicely done. I love the orange mirror glass you've got on the one. Its the same as Im using in my chair wip. Its so vibrant it almost hurts your eyes.

My favorite out of the four though is the sunflower with the bees....I just drool over that!!!!!

Wait, wait! Back up the gravy train, kids...you did WHAT after grouting? The rock sections (I'm assuming this is the ENTIRE area between the inside rim of orange/red tiles, and the edge ones?)...it looks like the same color grout throughout the piece...help me out here. Is there grout in there, or no?

mmqchdygg-Orange/Mirror: First I painted the wooden frame to a color that was the same as the grout (terra cotta). Then I attached the orange mirror tile and grouted just the edges. Then smeared weldbond on the wood and put the small polished rocks (many of them clear rocks) in the weldbond. Let completely dry for at least a week. Then poured the resin over it all, including the edges to cover everything. It created a very smooth polished look. The resin says on the box that it is like 75 coats of sealant/varnish.

Slowmedown-Sunflowers: Scored...I cut out all the sunflowers from stained glass with an oil glass cutter. The blue mirror are tiles ordered on the internet from "Happycraftn".

Someone else asked about the bees...they are small 1/2 marbles for the head, and stained glass bodies.

Again, thank you for the nice compliments! I just received a dozen more frames/mirrors from IKEA, so am ready to go again!
